About Cloud Nine

Cloud Nine Balloon Co. is a Civil Aviation Authority approved operator, licensed for the carriage of fare paying passengers. We have been flying in the North East of England for over twenty years. The majority of clients come from previous passenger recommendation and the knowledge that you are in safe hands. Our pilots hold full commercial licenses and have extensive flying experience not only in the U.K. but also throughout Europe. Our balloons and equipment are subject to annual inspections by the manufacturer in order to maintain high safety levels and a Certificate of Airworthiness. Our pilots undergo periodic medical and flight tests as set down by the C.A.A. Only compliance with these strict regulations, do the Civil Aviation Authority allow us to maintain our Air Operator Certificate No. BL087. We carry passenger legal liability insurance cover of £2 million.

Training School: Perhaps you would like to fly a Hot Air Balloon yourself. We are able to offer full training facilities with our B.B.A.C. appointed instructor. Our chief pilot is also a Type Rating Examiner. Tailored packages including examinations are available on request.

Corporate Entertainment: We are able to offer a range of services from corporate events large and small, to operating a Hot Air Balloon in your own a corporate colours. Contact: Joanne Johnson for further details
